Indian passport photos: why there are THREE different sizes
Studios routinely print the wrong one. India's passport process uses different photo specifications depending on where you submit — and they are not interchangeable.
1. Applying online at Passport Seva? → 630×810px JPEG
The portal's automated checker validates a digital file, not a print. It silently rejects PNG and files outside the size window. This is the spec most applicants actually need first.

The square "2×2 inch" print, with both ears visible. Used by VFS Global counters overseas and physical forms.

The international ICAO size occasionally appears on Indian checklists too. If your checklist says 35×45mm, use the generic 35×45 tool — same engine, correct geometry.
